16 TT Event 1 Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club - Multihull Gala Event 16/17th

Races will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing
and the event Sailing Instructions, which will be issued at Registration. Classes to Race This event is open to all catamarans. Registration
& Conditions of Entry Registration will take place from 09:00 hrs
16th May, in the
Clubhouse. All competitors will be required to have adequate third party
insurance to take part. Start
Tim The first race will not start before 13:00 hrs on
16th May 2009. Schedule
of Racing 6 races are scheduled. The Warning Signal for race 1 shall
not be before 12.55hrs on Saturday 16th May. Planned race duration is approx.
45mins for each race Course layout will be displayed at Registration. Scoring The Low Points system applies. 1 discard applies if more than
3 races are sailed. Saf A boat is entirely responsible for her own safety, whether
afloat or ashore, nothing, whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions
or anywhere else, reduces this responsibility. It is for the boat to decide whether she is fit to sail in
the conditions in which she will find herself. By launching or going to sea, the
boat confirms that she is fit for those conditions and her crew is competent to
sail and compete in them. Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility
of the boat nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage,
death or personal injury, however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat
taking part in the racing. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the
race and the event, and include the organising authority, the race committee,
the race officer, patrol boats and beachmasters. The provision of patrol boats does not relieve the boat of
her responsibilities. G B&B accommodation is available locally.
